Reimagining America's 3rd World

Initiative

Healing, Dealing & Reeling

The Reimagining is an initiative centering narratives from current and formerly incarcerated people that share their novel insights into the criminal legal system.

Aimed at shifting the popular framing from the existing punitive "public safety" narrative to a more restorative "public health" centered narrative, the initiative utilizes media and entertainment to explore viable health-centered approaches to  transform the criminal legal system and the lives of those directly impacted by it.

Documentary

A unique film that's part traditional documentary & part music video recounting the creator's incarceration, subsequent healing journey, & how it inspired The Ship & our "What's Your Anchor" & "Reimagining" initiatives.

Soundtrack

A casual, entertaining, and subtle exposé of real life struggles from the project's creator that sheds light on how life in America's 3rd world impacts the individual, while optimistically - faithfully even - pontificating about glorious triumph over adversity.

Art to GoGo Performance_edited_edited.jpg

Book

An anthology of select journals, it expounds on the concept of "America's 3rd World" through the creator's personal narrative & assesses the role of the "What's Your Anchor" framework in healing individuals & communities impacted by incarceration, and the system itself. (Still in progress)
